Ten pupils from S4 and S6 have signed up for our Rural Skills course.
This year, for the first time, we are working with sheep and cattle. We are lucky enough to be partners with Alvie Estate and SNH at Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve where we are able to do some animal work.
So far the pupils have mainly worked on the Estate Maintenance module some of which has been carried out with our third partner RSPB at Insh Marshes.
The weather has been really kind to us this term, and we are making good progress through our outcomes. Other practical modules that we will cover are Animal Handling, Animal Husbandry, Employability Skills.
We are very fortunate to have partners that we can work with. Without them the course couldn’t take place.
