KHS gets 2nd Place in the Highland Finals of the Junior Heptathlon!

Fourteen of our S2 pupils took part in the Highland Finals of the Junior Heptathlon on Wednesday in Inverness competing in a variety of running, jumping and throwing events. It was a team competition where each participants times and distances were added together to give a combined Kingussie High School total score.

The team competed brilliantly in each event giving maximum effort and encouragement to their teammates at every opportunity. This resulted in them setting the highest scores of the finals for hurdles, standing long jump and sprints. The Kingussie High School team were narrowly beaten to first place by Nairn Academy who go on to the Scottish Finals in Glasgow.

Congratulations to all the pupils in the team as they were an absolute credit to the school and the team spirit on show was fantastic to see. The pupils can be seen pictured with their silver medals. Well done everyone involved!

[Thank you Mr Adamson for driving the bus!]
