The KHS Elves have been doing the rounds and making sure everyone has the Christmas Concert in their diary!
It is Wednesday 17th December in case you didn’t know!
All our other key dates are on the school website in the ‘about KHS’ section – http://kingussiehigh.org.uk/about-us/school-calendar/
Today KHS staff and pupils supported BBC Children in Need with a dress down day and some fun events at lunchtime (including leg waxing, custard pies & a Staff vs Pupil Volley Ball match). Over £870 raised for this excellent cause!

The timetable was suspended on the afternoon of the 28th March to raise money for two great causes… and have a bit of fun!
More photos over on our Facebook Page (you don’t need to be on Facebook to see these photos BTW) or in the latest School Newsletter.
Scott Fryatt, Craig Smillie and James Finlayson (all in S5) were recently set a challenge to make a video about the school as part of the media group. The video was premiered in assembly last week and had pretty much all of the staff and pupils in stitches. If you don’t know the school and pupils involved then you might struggle with some of the off-the-wall humour. As school we pride ourselves on high standards (just look at the production quality) and not taking ourselves too seriously (we think that bit speaks for itself!). Well done boys – a great effort!
Valentine’s Day in Kingussie High School saw four of our youngest (and best looking?) teachers welcomed into their classrooms by hearts, balloons, flowers and chocolate.
Miss McInnes in English was met by lots of love poetry; Miss Seymour in Science experienced a chain reaction of love when she saw her classroom; Mr MacLaggan discovered that love makes the world go round as he opened the door to his room in the Geography Department; and Mr Walker’s passion in his Technical Department office is “plane” to see.
Interior design guru (as well as janitor) Helen (Llewelyn-Bowen) Beaven along with the KHS Elves have again shown their ability at catching out unsuspecting teachers.
Who will be next…

As the sun rises over Kingussie High School for another day, it has started to become clear that the festive elves were out last night and have been up to mischief!
The PE Department have had to amend their Christmas lists for Santa and add ‘White Line Marking Paint’ under their other wish for a ‘new astro turf’.
While the English department are thinking hard about how this work of art could be used in a lesson of ‘literacy across the curriculum’.
Looks like the count down to Christmas has begun – don’t forget you can still get tickets for tonight Christmas Concert from the School Office or on the door. It starts at 7pm!
