Some of our Early Years and Childcare students get ready to head off on one of their last assignments. They have to look after babies (not real ones) for a week. Fingers crossed they get on OK and don’t have too many sleepless nights!
National 5 Early Years and Childcare Course explore tactile play
Our National 5 Early Years and Childcare Course have been exploring tactile play.
As part of this work they have squashed, squeezed, rolled, flattened, chopped, cut, scored, raked, punctured, poked and shredded things! Each one of these different actions aids fine motor development in a different way, not to mention hand-eye co ordination and general concentration.
It is also pretty good fun!
