Gillian Clark is our Careers Coach at Kingussie High School. Gillian works for Skills Development Scotland.
As young people begin to explore their options for further learning and work, it is important that they identify their skills and strengths as they make decisions about what they want to do next. Skills Development Scotland provides a range of support to help pupils to develop Career Management Skills they’ll need all of their lives and to make well-informed decisions about their career pathways.
Pupils are supported by the My World of Work web service. Gillian has access to a huge range of resources and is able to provide up-to-date and relevant information about different careers, how to build and customise CVs, advice on searching for jobs, identify grants and other means of financial support for those considering further education and can assist pupils apply for further or higher education.
As a qualified Careers Coach, Gillian is also able to help pupils at Kingussie High School who need some tailored support to explore the training and skills necessary for the job or career which is right for them.
